In her bedroom in a nursing home, Mrs. Nurmi is harbouring a secret: she is the ancient Irish Queen Maeve, reincarnated into one of her many deceptive forms, ready to transform into the warrior queen whenever conflict arises. As the old woman conjures memories of the final visits of her grandson and her daughter, magic intertwines with reality. Are some mistakes too painful to live with? Is it ever too late to ask for forgiveness? What does it mean to face your twilight years with a sword in your hand?
