Alisa Palmer

Alisa Palmer is a director and writer. Born and raised in New Brunswick, Canada, Alisa Palmer completed a degree in history at McGill University and studied theatre with Jacques Lecoq, Cirque du Soleil, and L’Ecole de Mime Corporel de Montreal, as well as with Augusto Boal. Alisa’s plays include A Play About the Mothers of the Plaza del Mayo and The Attic, the Pearls, and Three Fine Girls (co-created with Ann-Marie MacDonald, Leah Cherniak, and Martha Ross.) Palmer is the former artistic director of Nightwood Theatre, and has served as the artistic director of the English section of the National Theatre School of Canada since 2012.
