Jean Forsyth and Edith J. Miller to appear in The Dictionary of Canadian Biography

Jean Forsyth and Edith J. Miller, the subjects of the biography A Tale of Two Divas (2016), are to be included in The Dictionary of Canadian Biography. The entries are being written by Elspeth Cameron, author of A Tale of Two Divas.

Brilliant singers and extraordinary women, Jean Forsyth and Edith J. Miller epitomized a golden age in Canada’s burgeoning West, where the only entertainment was live, and live performance was the beating heart of cultural life.

The Dictionary of Canadian Biography (DCB) is a database of almost 9,000 biographies of individuals who have contributed to the history of Canada. A joint project between the University of Toronto and Université Laval, DCB has been in existence for over 60 years. Initially, a print collection available in both English and French, DCB has evolved over time to include a CD-ROM and a website.
