Kate Hewlett

Kate Hewlett is a Toronto-born writer, actor, and songwriter. Kate’s plays include WithoutHumans AnonymousMalus DomesticaA Life in the Day, and The Swearing Jar, which was nominated for a Governor General’s Literary Award and made into a film starring Kathleen Turner, Adelaide Clemons, and Patrick J. Adams. Hewlett’s TV writing credits include Backstage, HemlockThe L.A. Complex, Seed, InSecurity, Long Story Short, Malory TowersOverlord & the Underwoods, and Corner Gas Animated. Kate is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, Queen’s University, the Tarragon Playwrights’ Unit and the Canadian Film Centre’s Prime Time Television Program.
