Nicole Brossard Translated by Erin Mour and Robert Majzels

About the Book
Award-winning poet Nicole Brossard interrogates the nature of subjectivity and articulates the unsayable, paying close attention to those transitory moments when passions lodge themselves in metaphor.

The intimacy of writing and the body speak together here. This brilliant new translation
by Erin Mouré and Robert Majzels makes available in English the original, sparse, and highly evocative fragments of Installations, poems that trace and retrace the spiraling movement of language in its eroticism, its longing, and its excesses.

About the Author
Montreal-born poet Nicole Brossard published her first book in 1965. Since then, she has published eight novels and many books of poetry. She is a two-time winner of the Governor General’s Award for Poetry.

Robert Majzels is a novelist, playwright, translator, and teacher. His other translation work includes the fiction of Anne Dandurand and France Daigle.
